Activity:
1. Disease Spread: Students work in pairs to complete an online simulation (Gizmo) to observe the spread of disease through a group of people. The simulation gives students the flexibility of choosing the method of transmission and adjusting the probability of each transmission and the number of people in the group.

Consolidation/Debrief: Snowball “Fight” Activity
Each student uses a small sheet of paper (either provided by the student or teacher). On the piece of paper, the student must write 2 things they learned and 1 question they have about todays lesson. Students then crumple up the paper and throw it across the room. Each student must then pick up a snow ball that was thrown by a classmate, silently read the students points, and answer their question on the back of the paper (or separate paper) for homework. The question can be answered using what was learned in class, the textbook, or even the Internet.
