Assessment and evaluation
Overview of assessment and can be found in each of the respective lesson segments of this website.
A short note on assessing the Viruses unit in general:
Due to the high recurrence of virus material in other units and strands (i.e. Genetics) it is suggested that the educator mix the summative assessment for this unit in with the Microbiology and Genetics strands. This will allow for a greater range of assessment in a wider range of contexts. While important in and of themselves, viruses are better understood in wider contexts instead of as an isolated, abstract concept.
