Care, Integrity, Trust and Respect
- Demonstrated through professionalism and practice by ensuring all students being considered and helping them reach their full potential so that each and every student has a equitable learning experience.
- Acknowledging that there may be several students that would be embarrassed regarding personal issues with their digestion or their knowledge of another that is suffering from a digestive disorder
- Not all students share the same diet due to personal decision, religion, or food restrictions. As instructors we are to be aware that the digestive system is universal, but the inputs will be very different.

Commitment to Students and Student Learning
- Ensuring that various different teaching strategies are being used so that all students’ needs are being met.
- Employing various methods such as hands-on activities such as interactive models and simulations for kinaesthetic learners and videos for the visual learners.
