Create a BOARD GAME
In groups of 4 or so, students are to get together and create a board game that involves the use of species interactions concepts including the three types of symbiotic interactions learned about in class. The rules of the game and overall structure is completely up to them. There is a board game template that the students may use but if they wish to create their own on chart/cardboard paper that is possible as well.
After the board games are done, students will have one period where they can explore their peers' games; do a walk around the classroom and play the different games their fellow classmates came up with. This would be an excellent opportunity for some peer evaluation and insight about species interactions that they may not have noticed before but now see in their peers' work.
